Eight temperature sensors sit under each panel. Blue is cooler than the rest of that panel, red is hotter, and the ringed spot is the hottest point. The sun symbols at the corners are the four light sensors.

Works only in daylight and dry weather. At night and in rain the node switches its radio and sensors off and sleeps, so the energy it uses stays small next to what a clean panel gives back. Rainwater fills the tank first. The tap valve is only a back-up.
